Music is blaring, to the point that I can't hear someone three feet away from me speak. And not just music, but today's awful pop music. Most of the time, it's people my age and families with little kids. I wonder who among their customer base is demanding that blaring, teen music be played?
Adam Carolla was ranting on this a few years back. He goes to his barber/hairstylist place with a couple buddies and everyone but the employees are middle-aged guys and they're playing this kind of music at obnoxious levels. He asks the other guys there if they want to hear this music and they don't and then he asks the employees and they shrug their shoulders. That's it in a nutshell. The comedian Larry Miller was on the show and he said that when he stops in restaurants late at night after doing a stand-up gig, when no one else is there, he asks the staff to turn off the music and they do.
