That all makes sense to me.
I do have some thoughts about immigration. Since we are seriously heading toward European population replenishment rates among our citizens, I think increased immigration is probably a good thing. It surely makes no sense to have it be illegal, but I think we could use levels of legal immigration that are comparable to what our illegal rate is. That's just a hunch and I am willing to listen to counterpoints. Also, and this is probably not much of anything, but I like the fact that our illegal immigrants are probably quite a bit more religious than the average American. We are actually importing Catholicism. Central and South Americans are essentially our core culture. Our secularized citizenry is being replaced by Catholics.
That is way different than the situation in Europe, where secularized Christians are being replaced with immigrants of a completely different religious tradition.
I agree on Roe v. Wade. I'd like some baby steps gun control. Since there is no real harm in getting it wrong (at least temporarily), I'd be in favor of trying some things to see how they work out.
