The House bill to reopen the government had just a month or two ago had been unanimously (or close to it) passed by the Senate, and agreed to by the President. That means, the House bill is something the House, the Senate and the President have all agreed to within the last month or two.
Hannity and Coulter did not agree to it. They caused Trump to change his mind (as best as I can tell). Now the Senate will not even vote on bill (that had previously passed unanimously) because McConnell won't let it come up for vote, all because he doesn't want to go against Trump.
Basically, and correct me if I am wrong, but the leader of the Senate will not let the Senate vote on legislation they've already approved, to re-open the government, because Hannity and Coulter have directed that it not be done. That is a little crazy, right?
