is directly proportional to working for Walmart (lack of economic opportunity), a lack of education (unable to discern how they're getting fucked by a con man) and a lack of access to healthcare (when you're worn down and sick, you can't think straight). I've always held that the Drumph base and the Occupy Wall Street folks (Bernie Sanders voters) share a common enemy but the Right end of the spectrum just hasn't figured out who the real enemy actually is. Of course, the common enemy is an economic and political system that has abandoned them. And as a consequence, the rise of Drumph and Sanders. The country is failing because the political and economic systems are failing everyday people.
The only thing separating the two groups is the messaging that resonates as to the cause of their problems. The former confederate State and working class rust belt population responds to building walls, guns, racism and such. But now that hand has been played by Drumph. Once they recognize that Donnie's misdirection didn't fix their problems, they will be forced to consider other options and hopefully triangulate their way to the correct reasoning. Until they do, they will stubbornly vote against their own best interests.
