The vaccine does help to prevent transmission - at least standard COVID and delta strains certainly, probably less so for omicron, but still a likely benefit. The smallest cold can be life threatening to kids on chemoand their parents MUST stay infection free also.
My belief in people’s right to decide for themselves is still present, but they know what they are choosing. I feel sorry for the child and the concerned parents. The vaccine itself has risks for their child, but not as high as COVID, but it is still a horrible decision for them. But these are not the very low risk children most people are thinking about
