As for Oregon's progressive efforts on drugs...first, it's hard to get any program going during the COVID pandemic, but it's true that all the treatment elements were not planned and in place before the de-criminalization legislation...nonetheless, it's an approach that has worked elsewhere...and we already have tons of evidence that simply arresting and incarcerating people isn't the way to go.
The 'Status Quo' needs to change...don't be afraid of change...and don't be afraid of a little hard work in making that change.
