2/15/19 Shannon Bream—The Great Straight Man!
Wow! Shannon Bream has got to be the greatest straight man (or should I say straight person) we have seen in quite some time.
When did she start injecting these comedy segments into her news telecasts. Maybe she did it because it was near the end of her show on a Friday, and she wanted to send her audience off for the weekend with a good chuckle. It was so hilarious.
I don’t know how she did it, but her producers managed to find an actress who was a dead ringer for the New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), and they had a film crew capture “AOC” as she explained her opposition to Amazon moving to New York.
As she is walking along, “AOC” appears to be fully aware that she is being filmed as she looks directly into the camera and says, “There was no guarantee that those 25,000 they were going to hire were New Yorkers… So are they just going to import people to displace existing New Yorkers?”
Now we all know that the Democratic Party of Open Boarders doesn’t care about displacing American workers. They are doing all they can to make it as easy as possible to import illegal immigrants to displace us. They are practically cheering on the bus loads of caravans.
The real AOC supports the abolition of ICE. Do you really think she would be stupid enough to go on camera to oppose displacing workers in her own district when she wants to displace Americans throughout the entire county? That was a funny bit Shannon, it almost looked like AOC was actually trolling herself. Unfortunately, no serious person can believe that any politician in the Open Boarder Democratic Party cares about displaced workers. Therefore, despite the similar appearance, no one believes the person on film could be AOC actually pretending to care about American workers being displaced. Nevertheless, because the resemblance is so great, the satire does not fall completely short.
But the best part was when the producers turn the cameras back to Shannon Bream. I begin to think that any second now she may burst into laughter, but instead she remains stoic and professional—great straight man material—and introduces Rush Limbaugh to sum it all up. Priceless.
Thanks Shannon. Sometimes laughter is a great medicine, and I think I am not the only one who got a kick out of that one.
Have a great weekend, and God help us.
