People are looking at this as an indication of our society, or perhaps, all societies, the privileged whether you're conservative, liberal, moderate seem to have advantages-nothing new. But if they have an advantage, then someone is at a disadvantage. You can't have one without the other. We see it when big banks, security firms, etc., are fined what seems like staggering amounts when if fact it's a few weeks profit while in a courtroom down the hall someone is getting years and years for doing much less.
Yes, it is public shame for those involved, but is it a shame on society that allows this, encourages it even, and then rewards those who have participated. Do you really believe all those Kennedy boys were smart enough to get into Harvard, that there just happened to be one last spot for George W to get into the Texas air national guard, that Captain Bone Spur's family doctor wasn't just a little influenced by the fact that Trump Sr. was his landlord.
The scandal shames the people and reinforces what Trump and Bernie agree on, the system, in some cases, is rigged.
