We stayed away from crowds this year, and mostly hung out with family and friends.
Saturday Afternoon: corned beef, cabbage, etc. with parents and parents' friends. The older folks like to do lunch now instead of dinner.
Evening was eclectic, but non-Irish: Adult night out with another couple in an urban southern cooking restaurant in a revitalizing neighborhood...great to see--20 years ago no one would be going there. Moved 10 blocks into an historic and rich neighborhood for desert / post-dinner cocktail...notably, parked next to a Lambourghini Urus SUV and a Bentley Continental.
Sunday Afternoon: Irish folk music while smoking a pipe on the deck overlooking the forest...clearing the brain.
Tonight: More corned beef and cabbage with the younger family set (kids, nieces, nephews, etc.).
