I didn’t gather that the purpose of your original post was to garner sympathy for Joe or Hunter or the family. Obviously, many families have members who struggle in various ways. We should root for those persons and families to find a healthy path to recovery.
My take was that you highlighted the article because you believe Hunter taints Joe in some way, or that Hunter’s transgressions reflects negatively on Joe. Sorry if I mistakenly assumed this was your intent in posting. After reading the entire article, it does show how much Joe supports his son. For sure, it will a long and winding road for Hunter.
Hunter is not a political candidate. His father is. On the politics, I do not view Hunter as a liability to his father’s campaign.
Nevertheless, to my point in the abstract, many voters seemingly could care less about personal or moral or ethical transgressions, given how much the bar has been lowered for Trump and his family.
