and the reporter was pilloried, but any reasonable person who pays attention to what she says knows it was a legitimate and important question. The voters have a right to know the underlying beliefs and philosophies of the people for whom they might vote.
Nine/ten years ago, I used the "monster is on the loose" analogy for what was happening to the Republicans as the hyper-ideologues who demanded absolute purity seemed to gain control of the party. They lost some races they should've won, but it didn't turn out as disastrous as I thought. Now the Dems have created this identitarian monster and it's on the loose. Maybe they too will escape total disaster, but people like Omar are ten times more toxic to average Americans than Todd Akin.
Far be it from your truly to gloat about anything, but I have to chuckle a bit at the folks who wondered why I focused so much on this SJW/identitarian stuff. That this belief system would take hold within the Democratic Party was totally predictable to anyone who didn't have the willful blinders on. Most of these politicians emerge from the elite universities where this is the dominant belief system. Also, millennials are coming of age, not only as voters, but as candidates and elected officials.Forget these four idiots, go back and listen to the Democratic debates. The presidential candidates are even introducing "woke" language into their rhetoric and talking points.
