I voted for Bush over Gore, and I have always believed that I wouldn't have felt as safe post-9/11 with Gore as I did with Bush. But on the flip-side, Gore wouldn't have sent us trillions into debt with the needless Iraq war.
I didn't particularly like Kerry and I hate John Edwards, but I think the country would have sailed along just fine with his administration.
I was too young to remember much about Mondale, and all I remember about Dukakis was his the infamous criminal furlough plan (I was in 7th grade). So, I can't speak to the subject of these 2 in comparison to the options we have today in the liberal field, but Gore, Kerry, and Clinton were far better candidates than what's available to choose from in 2020.
