Trump tweeted the following this morning: "Congratulations to Boris Johnson on his great WIN! Britain and the United States will now be free to strike a massive new Trade Deal after BREXIT. This deal has the potential to be far bigger and more lucrative than any deal that could be made with the E.U. Celebrate Boris!"
When asked about trade agreements in the lead up to the Brexit vote, here is what Obama said: "And on that matter, for example, I think it’s fair to say that maybe some point down the line there might be a UK-US trade agreement, but it’s not going to happen any time soon because our focus is in negotiating with a big bloc, the European Union, to get a trade agreement done. The UK is going to be in the back of the queue.”
Our strongest, closest ally will be at 'the back of the queue'. Thank God that amateur is just a bad memory now.
