Here - let me improve it.
A University has an unofficial, unaffiliated service club that nonetheless received consistent sponsorship from the school (which they depend on heavily for their mission). Several former Vice Chancellors at the school inexplicably have kids -- none of whom have any experience with community service nor finance -- who somehow keep getting Treasurer roles on this club's board that significantly enrich them.....unverified mileage reimbursements, expensive meal reimbursements, press box passes to games, early online course registration to account for how "busy" the work for the club keeps them, etc.
There is public awareness, concern, and discussion about this arrangement -- including by the prior University president, who was a close associate and friend of these Vice Chancellors. But nothing has been looked into, in spite of the most prominent ex-Vice Chancellor joking openly on film about having a compliance official fired for looking into the arrangement involving his son's role with the club.
So, the University president calls the club's head officer and confirm that yes, we will once again provide discretionary funding for your club's service activities. In this same conversation, he also tells this officer that he'd appreciate it if she would get back to him on this situation with the ex-Vice Chancellor's kid and all of the benefits being provided. There is, after all, significant public interest in this situation.
Somehow, this collection of old-guard administrators has a huge problem with this attack on their gravy train and races to accuse this president of settling scores with associates he doesn't like via extortion!!!
You're welcome.
