from the past three decades. Won many Emmys. Another ensemble cast. A number of actors and actresses parlayed their performances into big careers. Two male actors were the most famous on this show, but there were other actors and actresses you would recgnize. This is not about the most famous of the two actors. This is about the slightly less famous actor. If you went back in time, you would've seen him on the covers of People and TV Guide and he had a nice guy persona, based upon his character on the show. Apparently, he is anything but in real life. His character on the show is an empathetic character in a profession where empathy is expected. Behind the camera, he was reportedly a terror. Not like a petulant, hard-to-work-with terror, but more like a psycho terror. One of the female leads on the show was getting big. She was regarded just below the two lead actors in terms of star power. The rumor is that Mr. Terror treated her horribly and manipulated the rest of the cast into believing she was the problem. Things got so bad that even at the height of the show, she simply walked away, without any other show or film as a soft landing. Not only did she give up her job, but she gave up the royalties or whatever they call it for TV, that were coming from the reruns of the show. It was millions for each of the big-name stars. That's how bad it was. Her career nevcer recovered. She still appears in things, but it's nothing compared to what she had.
A couple years after this, Mr. Terror came into contact with another, older actress. Everyone here knows this actress. She doesn't reall act anymore and was almost done at that time. She's not a good actress, but she had an iconic role and one photo of her in particular from the movie is itself iconic. Some of you may have had this poster on your walls as teenage boys. Her husband was big into the business, too. She was going through a very tough time when she dealt with Mr. Terror. This deal had nothing to do with entertainment. Mr. Terror knew of the struggle the older actress was going through and tried to use it to take advantage of her in this "business" deal. They closed the deal, but she made a point of spreading through Hollywood how bad this guy is. As a result, after Mr. Terror's show ended, he's never gotten what anyone would call big roles, despite how famous and loved he was during the run of the series. He had a couple of TV movies that got him some acclaim and they tried to get him his own show at one point, but it bombed. Apparently, his former castmates won't help him because they feel guilty for not stepping in to help the actress who quit. Mr. Terror has popped up before on ads for a particular charitable-type organization that isn't really for people. This softens his image. I've also read a quote from him where he stated that he apologized to some people who were on the show with him for his beahvior.
Interestingly, a couple years ago, another actress on that TV show went on social media and took on the even more famous actor for not stepping in to help her when she said she was victimized by sexual harassment during its run and he did nothing. She died maybe a year ago under very tragic circumstances.
So:
What was the long-running, acclaimed ensemble show?
Who was Mr. Terror, whose career never took off afterwards?
Who was the actress he ran off the show?
Who was the older actress that Mr. Terror tried to take advantage of?
Who was the most famous actor on the show who was called out for doing nothing to stop the abuse?
Anyone who gets it shall receive his own OF acclaim, enrollment in the Jelly of the Month Club, and my undying respect (priceless).
