>Before the Industrial Age our atmosphere had roughly 1,900 Gigatons of CO2
>Since the IA started, mankind has added ~1,300 Gtns (we now have ~ 3,200 Gtns total)
>Currently, humans are adding ~40 Gtns/yr
>It takes between 20-200 years to scrub most of the added CO2 out of the atmosphere...thousands of years for the rest.
>...No one disputes that CO2 is a greenhouse gas
Sooner or later, we're going to have a really bad problem...when would you like to start doing something about it?...especially considering that we now have alternative sources of energy for most of the Fossil Fuel uses. The longer we wait, the harder the change will be.
Things do change...wishing they wouldn't isn't an effective strategy.
