It's Wuhan in Atlanta, so the story line is very timely, but it was filmed in 2015/16. Single season. Not renewed for a second season.
The story writing introduces unrelated social engineering (e.g., race relations), which distract from the story. Also, many of the characters are annoying (petty behavior in the midst of a national crisis), but, my wife thinks people might actually act that way in a crisis, and she is probably right....regardless, she likes it better than I do, even though a pandemic show is more my kind of thing than hers. It probably would have been renewed if it came out now, because it is right on point with Wuhan, but I can see how the distracting side stories would have sunk it in 2016 when the main story line was less compelling than it is now.
So, a lukewarm recommendation. Some will like it; others won't.
