Though I think Germany might be on the upward phase of cases/deaths for the next week or so, as their numbers of cases has climbed rapidly in the last 2 weeks, much like the US. That their number of deaths is much lower when compared to the US is interesting. I am willing to bet that when all is said and done, along with the severity with regards to age, there will likely be some genetic predisposition as well as a previous exposure to a similar virus in the past that allows certain areas to be less prone to the harsher aspects of this virus than other areas. Not sure what the age distribution is in Germany relative to the US.
