Do you downgrade The Big O, Elgin Baylor, Dave Bing, George Gervin, Walt Bellamy for the small number of or nonexistent championships they all were parts of during their careers? Do you rank Luc Longley above David Robinson?
What I've found is that this standard is what hack sportswriters and some kind of dopey fans.
Offense is half the game. No one at any position can be regarded as the best ever at that position with mediocre offensive numbers, no matter how great he was defensively.
