It always seems to me that when it comes to architecture buildings on university campuses, they design the buildings as stand alone artwork pieces, without regard to the fact that the building will be put on a campus...as if "context" and "integration into surroundings" is something that they specifically teach to avoid in architecture schools.
ND's building is kind of boring, but at least they didn't put a modern art sculpture on campus. I was afraid they'd put something on campus like Iowa's visual arts building:
