Do you know how many people have to be rescued or have died there? Whew! Old Faithful and its geysers, too. Move it to the Miracle Mile in Chicago. It's safer there, plus it will strike a blow against the systemic racism in our national park system, in which a paltry number of blacks participate.
Man, two people dead and fifteen rescued over a thirty-year period? Outrageous.
I know I asked this before, but do you ever get the impression that The Machine wants people to be helpless and at the mercy of rules, instructions, gates, cushions and all things safety to be good, little obedient proles? I'm always amused when some drunk or incompetent manages to get hit at a railroad crossing and immediately there is a shriek to install some greater safety feature or just shut down the rail line there. "We're helpless! We can't trust ourselves! We need you to tell us what to do!"
