The allegations outlined in the article are fairly commonplace. Often, there are genuine mistakes made by police officers, but law enforcement has enjoyed an increasingly wide berth for over-the-top conduct for way too long. That will all change after George Floyd.
It will take time for Congress and the states to find the equilibrium point for immunity in sorting out frivolous vs meritorious police brutality claims.
