For all the negatives with Chicago, for example, it's a great city in so many ways. Now, your dump, which shouldn't even exist as a place for human inhabitants, no I don't enjoy it. In fairness, I also get no kick from rural southern Minnesota.
The articles I mentioned above note the opposite of a recent "boom." Populations in many major cities have been dropping for some time, on the East Coast, and the Midwest. You are factually wrong, as noted in this article.
