There were multiple reports from doctors on the ground that if hydroxychloroquine was used aggressively EARLY, it was extremely highly effective. Yet Trump went out and touted this drug, and all of a sudden the mainstream media rushed to find "proof" it didn't work. It didn't take long for a "survey" of already-hospitalized patients given the drug that showed it didn't "work."
Now we have J-imbecile saying he knows more than this Yale epidemiologist. Take a hike.
And no, Chris, I don't believe the medical professionals held back on a drug that worked in order to hurt Trump. But others in administration and leadership positions did. Saint Anthony Cuomo issued an executive order limiting when the drug could be used. Dr. Anthony Farce-y - he who's been wrong every step of the way - kept saying there's no proof this drug worked. The FDA found, through the above-mentioned survey of patients given the drug far too late, that it didn't work. The mainstream media did its part, finding more "evidence" the drug didn't work or was even dangerous. So when Farce-y and media reports from "credible" mainstream sources keep touting either we don't know if it works or it doesn't work, of course medical professionals are going to not use it right away.
If this guy is right - and I have no reason to doubt him at this point - it means we had something just short of a cure right under our noses the whole time. But complete incompetence from our medical "leaders" and the anti-Trump sentiment combined to thwart this treatment.
