Trump's other point: We test more people than other countries, so we will have more positives.
Fair summary?
I'm reminded of the people who cry about the US leading in numbers of incarcerated criminals...as if having a robust justice system with very few executions is a bad thing. Of course, a robust and fair justice system (including sufficient prisons) with few executions drives up the incarceration count. We can defund the justice system to get those numbers down, but who really thinks that is the right thing to do, other than an anti-reality idealogue?
I just heard the other night a liberal arguing that crime is down in cities all across America. His proof? Arrests are down. Except, arrests being down does not mean crime is down, it just means that we aren't counting crimes anymore by trying to stop those crimes. Trump could easily drop the numbers by not testing people, and focusing on treating people instead. In fact, that might be the correct course of action.
