Tremendous mask discipline. Everyone walking and biking outside wears a mask.
Much more economically vibrant than I would have guessed, as restaurants have brilliantly adapted to create outdoor seating. The island has had 36 reported cases and 1 death since the pandemic began, and the ferry traffic has been normal volume.
Even those riding a bike away from any people wear masks, as a visual tool and reminder to fully respect this virus.
Super impressed with Nantucket, but given the islandโs resilience and grit over centuries to sustain itself, they can handle a pandemic.
