Drunken ordeal, she was the aggressor, I stopped it and left. She ghosted me then went to the cops saying I raped her while she was unconscious. Of course it was found to be not credible.
So how did I feel and react: First, I was just completely baffled that she would think that I was capable of such a horrible thing, we were friends. And once the shock and awe wore off, I just felt bad for her. At no point was I angry, even when the cops told me I was being accused of forcible rape after slow playing it and asking me what happened.
Of course people react differently to things like this, but I'd expect a SC judicial nominee to keep a level head, he didn't. Defending such as "how an average Joe would react" is missing the point. Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.
