Changes are coming. More than a few four-year schools will go under. No question, an Ivy League degree's value can be enormous. It's a lot harder to justify the ridiculous tuition rates for so many other schools. Take Marquette up here. $45K per year for a school that is, frankly, kind of a middling university. The out-of-state tuitions for many of our public universities are absurd, given the return from that diploma for much of the student body. My perception is that more families are skeptical of the need to put kids through four-year universities. Half of those admitted shouldn't be there in the first place. A great number of them drop out before completing a degree.
