you think our worldwide pandemic has something to do with the situation in the U.K.? The future direction of our HC system will be - and should be - a hot topic in 2021...paying twice as much per citizen in the U.S. as any other developed country, while leaving tens of millions without coverage is not the "Envy of the World". We have many excellent physicians, nurses, researchers, etc...but too many administrators, and executives with compensation packages far above any of the care providers.
I'm sure this topic will hit everyone's radar screen in due time, but meanwhile I'd suggest you read "America's Bitter Pill" by Steven Brill (journalist and attorney)...he delves deeply into the American HC system...how Obamacare came into being...what it's +'s and -'s are, and what changes he sees going forward.
