Your original post asserted that requiring mask wearing is authoritarian policy.
You mentioned nothing about what level that policy was at. I then responded correctly that it was not, but was part of the general police power usually reserved to the states. You then responded that my legal argument was incorrect and attached an ABA blurb that fully agreed with what I had posted.
Is it now your question whether such a policy is authoritarian if imposed at the federal as opposed to the state level? If so, I would still say that it wasn’t authoritarian, although there would be a federalism issue with it as again, usually, that power is reserved to the states. In other words, could it be unconstitutional, and the answer is possibly. That does not though make it authoritarian as it is debatable proposition as things currently stand.
