the necessary votes to attain and sustain power...and should a 'maverick' Republican, like John McCain, step out of line and turn his or her back on what I'll call the "Plutocratic Oath" (i.e. Do Whatever Harm is necessary to achieve power), they will employ even the most scurrilous means (i.e. accusing McCain of fathering his adopted black daughter) to ensure that only the "Oath Takers" succeed.
Note that the ONLY legislation of consequence that was fought for and passed during Trump's term was the Tax Break for the Wealthy, and that was done right out of the gate in 2017 in a 'New York minute'...no 'Improved' health care bill...no comprehensive immigration bill...no Infrastructure bill...no Wall Street reforms bill......nothing else in four years.
As I've said before, I've voted for Republican Presidents, governors and other elected officials, but now, with evidence, knowledge and awareness from many sources, until the GOP returns to a platform of economic and social "Inclusiveness"...that's not happening again.
