See I look at this a bit differently. I agree with you that we have gotten through much worse. Back then folks strapped it on and did what they had to do. It was real hard, but that was that. My grandfather was a coal miner who died from black lung so I get the point. What bothers me is that our snowflake society can’t be bothered with such minor things as mask wearing as its inconvenient, awkward, or they don’t want to do it. Same with avoiding mass gatherings, and close indoor encounters. Wash your feckin hands, you bunch of piggies. Just basic public health shit. How feckin hard and put upon is that? Yet, seriously we can’t muster the courage and will to do these simple things. That bothers me much more than those who complain about those things not being done and for the lack of leadership by the govt. Being a leader is getting people to do things they don’t like. Grade F-.
