The attached link contains the CDC numbers for all major mortality categories...in all of them, actions have been taken to reduce them with the goal of extending the average lifespans of all citizens.
>For car crashes, the number you see today would have been much higher had it not been for seat belts, airbags, car frame 'crumple zones', etc. If car crash deaths suddenly rose to 5 times the current level, I can confidently say that state and federal governments - regardless of party - would seek significant remedies...perhaps even lowering speed limits.
>For Influenza and Pneumonia deaths, we regularly have yearly vaccines developed to keep that number from rising. When we see a 5 fold increase (and growing) in mortality for that category, you get the response you're seeing.
I know you get the picture; I don't need to continue 'painting'. Yes, it is true that we are all "terminal", but I hope you believe in extending this unique experience for everyone. It is indeed a challenge to use available resources to achieve remedies, and one person's 'deliverance' is another's 'inconvenience'...we all understand the issue. Let's hope that the prevailing spirit and drive is for extending lifespans.
Pardon the on-going admonition...Get vaccinated...practice mitigation...trust in medical professionals who's only goal in life is to extend yours.
