cisgender women...I absolutely disagree with Penn keeping her on the team...this is what Nancy Hogshead-Makar is saying (read that link), and I've repeatedly said I agree with everything she talks about...read all my posts to see my personal comments on this matter and you'll see that there's not even a hint that I'm "running cover" for the current decision making....please acknowledge that.
But the real issue I'm concerned about, and the reason I posted is that there appears to be no concern whatsoever by too many people for the mental health of a very real and vulnerable cohort within our population...the more that persists, the more we fail as a society...i.e. more willing to cast out innocent people who aren't "like us" as opposed to wanting to take the time to work on a solution that is beneficial to all.
I've included a "TED Talk" video of a transgender scientist that I came across doing a little background study on this whole issue...she works at the Los Alamos Laboratory and apparently is doing some very good and advanced work there...watching the video, and perusing her "Wiki Bio", her story brings back memories of Alan Turning's struggle back in the 40's and 50's with British society's criminalization of homosexuality...a gifted - and innocent - person who has much to offer the world, but is hounded into committing suicide...I trust you get where I'm going with this...
