“We’re seeing a recomposition of French political life, with this new polarity between centrists and the far right...”
...
“The left has never been able to recover the working classes....”
Interesting to see a nation in which the Left is losing the working class to the right wing. Does this sound familiar?
The Left is becoming the side of elitists or radicals who want more and more government. Unfortunately, if given free reign, that usually results in a lot of people dying...we've seen that in the history books. The Right, on the other hand, is gaining the working class...a working class that used to be seen as noble by the Left, is now being classified as racist by the Left. Will the Left be able to replace their working class base with a newly imported immigrant class or with former workers who now live on the government dole? It will be fascinating to watch.
