being the main defense - esp since they can prove that he was now armed.
But despite that, I never saw the guy make any aggressive moves toward the cop...just defensive ones. It was almost as if he didn't understand what was going on to the point that I wonder if he has special needs.
The body cam went off in the struggle - I think legitimately.
But regardless, there is not a justification that I would buy for shooting the man from what I saw at the end of the footage. The cop shot him when he didn't need to do so. I don't see the racial tie in that you do since the plates didn't match the car and the cops ride around all day doing that check on car after car.
But the man should not have been shot, and this cop was wrong.
The video footage will unfortunately show both sides what they want to see.
