I will say that there is a difference between, on the one hand, a regular army invading a peaceful nation and taking out civilian apartment complexes, as Russia is doing in Ukraine, and, on the other hand, essentially civilians with rifles treating Russian soldiers poorly after the civilians have lost part of their family to those very Russians.
I'm not justifying any war crime.
But, there is a difference, and you cannot equate the two. Both are wrong, but one is far more wrong than the other. I am far more sympathetic to Domer From Hell's view. Woe be to the foreign invading army which comes down my street, kills half my neighbors and half my family, and then expects me, a civilian victim, to abide by the Geneva convention when they won't do it themselves.
