Though I agree the Democrats take the medical treatments too far.
Issue #1 is "supporting" trans kids, i.e., making them feel welcome, wanted, etc. I think this is important based on suicide and attempted suicide rates in that population. Anything less than support is rather vile, in my opinion, as it's just the human thing to do. I would put appointing one or two trans people in positions of visibility to be in this bucket. "Hey, if that woman can be in a senior government position, maybe I'm worth something and shouldn't cut myself."
Issue #2 is the surgery aspect and I agree that it's at best uncomfortable and I lean towards enacting an age limit. That said, I defer to psychiatrists and other doctors that know better than I. Regardless of the original post, it seems like a very small number of teens that do this ultimately regret the decision. But, sure, put an age limit on it.
