at all available throughout the country in the quantities required to accomplish their purpose...i.e. stop the spread of COVID-19, while protecting the population from serious illness and death...and the reason WHY that situation existed is shown below with my excerpted section of Knute's linked article from an earlier post...Note: the early distributions were for the protection of "Frontline" Docs, Nurses, etc. as well as Essential Workers...there was no plan to get vaccines to the vast majority of Americans...

"Many experts said that the Trump administration’s plan had some key holes, including a FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE with the states and cities about the rollout and INADEQUATE FUNDING for vaccine distribution. But it did have a plan: RELY ON THE STATES.
"The federal plan, much like the rest of the federal response to the coronavirus pandemic, was very HANDS OFF when it comes to DETAILS OF IMPLEMENTING public health interventions," said Josh Michaud, associate director of global health policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation. "THE LAST MILE OF VACCINE DELIVERY WAS NOT A BIG PART OF THE FEDERAL PLAN BY DESIGN". (emphasis mine).

I don't know what kind of business you're in, but in my career experiences, the Trump admin 'effort' would never be referred to as an effective, much less professional "PLAN"...especially since it was the federal government making ALL the production orders/schedules with manufacturers...not the states...i.e. the Feds controlled "HOW MUCH' would be produced...and "WHEN" the doses would be available to those states...thus it was ESSENTIAL for any plan to have excellent communication between the Feds and States...there wasn't any under Trump.

Upon taking office, Biden did EVERYTHING a leader should do to combat COVID-19...while his predecessor failed in uncountable ways...which resulted in unnecessary deaths to tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of Americans...that is in no way 'hyperbolic'...just a cold, hard fact that needs to be remembered when thinking of Donald Trump.
