This gets deeply into the notion of "Prudential Judgement" (see Bishop McElroy's explanation) and how a national politician, in a pluralistic nation should deal with this issue. Since over 80% of Americans...and Catholics...believe that abortion should be legal in some cases, it's vitally important to understand WHY an overwhelming majority in this country feel this way...and why a politician such as Speaker Pelosi could take the stance she has...so, once again, please respond to my repeated requests for a discussion on this.
While you're mulling that over, take a look at the attached PEW Research article on what Catholics believe wrt Communion...in your estimation, are the 37% of 'Weekly or more' Mass attendees "Bad" Catholics for not believing that the Eucharist is the Body and Blood of Christ?...FYI....regardless of what I believe, there is no way I'd ever jump to that conclusion...
