EV charging stations...longer term, there will be discussions in D.C. over much larger amounts for this aspect of the transition away from fossil fuels (see link).
btw, in an area that I'm familiar with, much larger funding amounts have been approved for new 'GEN-IV' nuclear plant developments in Idaho (Nuscale's Small Modular Reactor), and Wyoming (GE/Hitachi's "Natrium" Fast Reactor)...these programs have been supported by both GOP and Democratic administrations...the obvious goal is more electrification which would then support not only the shift to EVs, but also the shift away from FFs for "Process Heat" related industries.
And you should note that this isn't just a fad in the U.S....virtually every car company in the world is planning its production around EVs by the mid-2030s...and since transportation represents such a large portion of oil usage, the worldwide O&G industry is grappling with a changing future...the world's energy sources are inexorably changing in response to the market and there is no way that's going to stop.
