With the SC leak, we’ve been getting lots of questions on abortion, because I guess we have a lot of promiscuous ladies in the ranks, so we’ve been looking into it. So info …
- In a population of 18k, our med plan covered 20 abortions in 2022 so far, 18 chemical and 2 procedural
- Company cost for procedural is $800-$1000, less than $100 per chemical
- The med plan will cover one procedural per calendar year unless medically necessary (cause you know, don’t be a ho)
- We also cover birth control
- Rates of abortion during the pandemic decreased (cause people weren’t getting down); and are now increasing
- We’re considering paying for people to travel out of their home state with extra PTO if abortion becomes illegal in the state (our CEO is a lefty) - this is a significant minority trend in our benchmarking (seems like an opportunity for abortion tourism)
- The HR bleeding hearts haven’t yet developed a travel policy on point, but they’ll need to be reined in lest they bankrupt the company killing babies
- We also cover through the med plan most ED drugs (for the bosses and their ladies)
- Outside of the C-suite and senior exec class (where testicles and solid decision making still rule the day), our population is about 60% female
There’s a 71% chance our CEO will want to put this on LinkedIn or twitter or some shit like that once the decision is made, patting himself on the back for supporting women’s rights.
