In fact, the whole family did.
1. Middle daughter (17, vaxed) was sick for a couple days before we tested her on Thursday morning and she was positive. Pretty miserable until Saturday when she said she felt all better.
2. Oldest daughter (19, vaxed and boosted) very sick on Thursday, Friday and Saturday before feeling all better on Sunday.
3. Wife (45, vaxed and boosted) very sick Thurs, Friday and Saturday. Felt a lot better on Sunday and all better today.
4. Youngest daughter (15 and vaxed) never had any symptoms and we didn't bother testing her.
5. Myself (54 and vaxed) slight sore throat on Thursday morning but it hit me hard Thursday evening. It definitely sucked for a few days. I feel pretty much better today.
My thoughts on how "severe" it felt is that it was probably a little worse that a bad flu but, went away much quicker. The headache (which was severe the first night) lasted for 3 days. The "brain fog" was real and weird and I think it's all cleared up. My cough has been pretty mild but, worse for my wife and daughters.
The symptoms paled in comparison to when I had Malaria but, still bad enough that I wouldn't want a repeat.
