in the context of a pluralistic society...the vast majority of which (~90%) believe that abortion should be legal in at least some circumstances...and concomitant with that, the belief that "Personhood" does not begin at conception (e.g. "At First Breath" for the Jewish faith).
Sadly, we have a majority in our Supreme Court that is using a distinctly minority theology from one religion to control the decision making capability of the aforementioned majority...we've got to get past that...especially when it seems that their theology (Catholics on the Court) could very well be flawed from the outset...i.e benign neglect for miscarriages at the earliest stages of pregnancy, yet uncontrolled rage at an abortion in the same stages.
We're by no means done with this question/issue....
