let's act like the adults we are and go over whatever differences we have, without rancor, and get to the truth of any matter...if we can re-start our dialogues, I'll not bring up the "Pause" ever again...no looking back.
On this particular situation, you're making a lot of assumptions...since you appear to be a surgeon who has significant experience in this arena, I'd suggest you reach out to the author professionally and query her about those concerns you have...then get back to us.
For my part, I Googled "Catholic Church, ectopic pregnancy, interference"...since I had heard comments about how Catholic hospitals had special "Directives" when it came to such conditions...and I found that report which raises serious doubts in my mind. Frankly, the only way to resolve this for you to do what I've suggested...call the author.
Meanwhile, you could help us all out by explaining what the following comment from the report is all about..."Although ectopic pregnancies are not viable, some Catholic ethicists have argued that the Directives preclude physicians at Catholic hospitals from managing tubal pregnancies with methods and procedures that involve "direct" action against the embryo."...what's the reasoning behind "DIRECT"?
Looks like I'm going to have to repeat this many times...you, I, and virtually everyone else wants fewer abortions...we just have two different paths...let's understand each other...this takes considerable time, dedication, patience and trust...are you up for that?
btw, if you're reading this, Bmail me...for other "Confidants" of Baron, Bmail him and ask him to read this post.
