You don't seem to have a capacity to use reason logically. Yes, even many of us on the right would like to see alternatives to oil and gas - if feasible. And feasible means developing that energy source and delivery systems, and once developed, THEN replace the oil and gas power supply.
The way that it's being done now is to artificially shut down oil and gas usage and production (as detailed by PB Chad) before these new energy sources and delivery systems are feasible...all in an effort to "force" people to use renewable energy. As notredame678 points out, that's just stupid.
