I agree that the stats Mark cites don't paint any kind of picture that can be effectively analyzed. Too many unknown factors.
But the everyone has to get vaxxed (including my healthy kids) completely ignores relative risk for individuals. This has been my quarrel the entire time. Long term risk of the vaccines isn't known.
Many, perhaps most adults should get / should have gotten vaxxed. Some of those should get / should have gotten booster(s). But not everyone.
Anecdotally, for me the 2nd Pfizer shot was worse than CoVid. If you were my primary doc, or if you were me would you get boosted? I won't.
If your kids had already had CoVid with mild symptoms, would you be getting them vaxxed? I won't.
And we should be tracking detailed statistics on age, co-morbidities, vaxx status, CoVid outcome and whatever other contextual data is available. You could then build a model and people could see their risk.
