Once again...please document your assertion with sourced material...I've used the EIA and BP...

The statements of the U.S. having 5 yrs of Proven Oil Reserves and 12 yrs of Proven Natural Gas Reserves at current consumption rates are THEIRS not mine...time for you to 'Put Up'.

Based upon the EIA and BP estimates, IMO even if we suddenly found triple the amount of reliable reserves, it wouldn't change our energy strategy...i.e. shift away from burning Fossil Fuels and husband them for their unique values (e.g. manufacturing plastics).
