He took over a team with six grad students and has a lot of experience. Shrewsberry took over a team with two returning players one of which is barely serviceable. At any point in time in a game ND has three freshmen on the floor. John Wooden wouldn't have a winning record with them. I don't know whether or not Shrewsberry will be successful or not but you surely can't judge him based on this year.
