confidence they have in Shrews' knowledge and ability to dissect the game. This is what Digger had at his best and when the program was at its best. He brought in a lot of great players and he was a terrific bench coach. Shrews has all that, plus he has NBA experience. As poor of a job the University has done choosing football coaches, it did a terrific job picking the current basketball coach. There was an actual, professional process. I think Shrews would have been a better pick than the "shoot for the stars" guys who were first probed for interest in the job.
